The Wise Avenue Volunteer Fire Company(WAVFC) is actively seeking volunteers of all backgrounds for Firefighter, EMT, Paramedic, and FADO roles.
Every day, in every community, emergency responders answer the call of our families, friends and neighbors who are in need of assistance. Wouldn't it be great if you made a difference in someones life?

As Emergency responders we are there to protect lives and property.


Roles in our Company

At WAVFC we have several levels of membership for you to choose from in which you desire.
Firefighter
Firefighter/EMT
Paramedic (EMS Only)
EMT (EMS Only)
FADO(Driver Only)
and much, much more.


Requirements

Firefighter

Members must be 16 years of age or over.
New members will be a probationary memberfor a minimum of 60 days and meet all requirements for this position.

Training Requirements:
Firefighter I
CPR
Hazardous Materials Operations
Bloodbourne Pathogens

Yearly Requirements:
10 Emergency responses per year.
Maintain 50 LOSAP points.
Attend 5 company meetings.
Work 3 Hall Rentals.
Complete 18 Train Garden hours.


EMT

Members must be 16 years of age or over.

EMT-B
CPR
Hazardous Materials Operations

Complete 18 Train Garden hours.


Associate Member Non-Riding

Associate members are non-riding members who serve on various committees that are vital to the daily operations of the company. Some of the committees include, Hall Rentals, Train Garden, Building Maintenance, Fund Raising, etc. New members must complete one (1) year of probationary membership. Yearly Requirements::
Maintain 50 LOSAP points.
Attend 5 company meetings.
Work 3 Hall Rentals.
Complete 18 Train Garden hours.
